Icelanders

‘Icelanders’ is an imaginative picture book, written by my friend Yijun Yu.
We collaborated on the storyboards, and I illustrated them into a picture book.
It depicted the cyclical life of a group of Icelanders across the four seasons: In winter, they joyfully inhabit their island, forming an intimate community. As spring and summer arrive, they start on new journeys, riding the cracked ice blocks to explore the world and build new friendships. With the advent of autumn and winter, they return to Iceland, sharing stories of their adventures.
